FAQ

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing which doesn't restrict your movement. Pilates can be done in either bare feet or clean socks.

Do I need a mat or any equipment?

Please bring an exercise mat with you. I recommend that you choose a thicker mat for comfort and also to support your spine. www.physicalcompany.co.uk or www.pilates-mad.com have a good selection.

I usually carry a few spare mats with me, so if you would like to try a class before committing to a purchase, this is no problem. Just let me know.

Other equipment, including head cushions, soft balls and therabands will be provided. You may wish to bring a small towel to cover the head cushions.

How many people are in a class?

Classes sizes will vary depending on the time and location but are always restricted to 12 people for your safety.

I have an injury or health condition, is Pilates suitable for me?

Pilates can be beneficial for a lot of health conditions, however, if you have any injury or health issue that might affect your ability to exercise please email me before hand so that I can ascertain if joining a group class would be the best option for you. In some cases I might recommend private sessions before joining a class. All clients will be asked to complete a screening form before attending classes.
